Founded by Steve Conway, 5by5 Consulting is a veteran owned small business providing strategic consulting solutions tailored to clients' specific business growth needs. 5by5 leverages over 30 years of experience in business development, capture management, and winning high-value contracts in the DoD and Federal markets.
Prior to founding 5by5 Consulting, Steve Conway was a Business Development Executive for Tyto Athene driving over $100M in growth for the DHA, DISA, and other US Army accounts. Steve was at Qbase (until its acquisition by Tyto) where he was the Vice President of Business Development delivering over $400M in DoD growth initiatives that supported the successful sale of the company. Prior to joining Qbase, Steve was Vice President of Business Development responsible for the DISA and US Army portfolio at Apptis (purchased by URS/AECOM) where Steve led the growth of the DoD Sector that grew from $24M to $230M. While at Apptis, Steve also served as Program Manager on a number of critical DISA GIG-BE efforts that contributed to the successful delivery of the ACAT 1 program. Prior to Apptis, Steve held leadership positions at numerous technical firms supporting federal and commercial customers. Steve also served as a Naval Officer on both active duty and in the reserves retiring as a Captain (O-6). He holds a Bachelors degree and a Masters in Business Administration.
